System Job Title: Accountant 7

Leader Name: Director, External Reporting

**As ATB’s next Manager, Accounting Policy, **you will lead the development and implementation of accounting policy for ATB, including the buildout of ESG reporting and disclosures. You will have an in-depth knowledge of IFRS, the ability to break down complex accounting topics to tell a smart, simple story and possess excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—that will be utilized in the preparation of external and internal reporting and in your role as a trusted business partner.
- Keep current with emerging and newly released IFRS standards in order to evaluate the impact on ATB’s reporting.
- Coordinate with the Areas of Expertise and Strategic Support Units to prepare quarterly and annual commentary on ATB’s financial results for purposes of inclusion in our external and internal reporting.
- Assist with preparing financial statements that meet auditing and accounting standards within tight deadlines all while maintaining a strong control environment.
- Support our regulatory reporting processes.
- Participate in and support special projects and other technical accounting matters as they arise.

**Requirements**:

- University Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance required, along with a CPA designation.
- 5-7 years of post-designation experience.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of IFRS and reporting requirements.
- High degree of problem solving ability and critical thinking.
- Excellent presentation and report writing skills.
- Strong team player, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Acute attention to detail with the ability to meet multiple deliverables.
- Ability to think outside the box while providing strong analysis and insight.
- A background with an audit firm or financial institution preferred.
