- Rotation - Days, nights, weekends, 8 hours shifts**Basic Requirements**:
- Postgraduate degree in Physics or a closely related discipline form a recognized university or equivalent;
- Minimum of five (5) years previous experience as a Medical Physicist;
- Active member in professional associations such as but not limited to: Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists;
- Ability to obtain an academic appointment with University of Ottawa and/or Carleton University;
- Established record of excellence in clinical, research and educational activities;
- Experimental and theoretical physics skills;
- Applied knowledge of radiation safety and patient dose optimization;
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem
- solving skills;
- Superior organizational skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Eligible to work in Canada.**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Ph.D. in Medical Physics or directly related field;
- Demonstrated computer skills including programming experience in software such as Visual Basic and MatLab;
- Experience maintaining ACR MRI quality control program, including site planning for new MRI acquisitions, knowledge of MRI safety;
- Experience with MRI sequence development, programming and protocol optimization;
- Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).**What you can expect from us**:
