The DIS team is recruiting a Report and Dissemination Business Analyst join our team in Edmonton or Calgary. The position is a limited term with an anticipated end date of May 31, 2024. Your Key Responsibilities:
- Create information and data products on an ad hoc and predefined schedule by accessing multiple systems and software within the AER to report data.- Maintain product metadata by documenting purpose, data sources, scripts, processes, and procedures.-
- Continuously seeking and initiating improvements that deliver efficiencies and remove risk to integrity of information and data products.- Manage customer relationships by providing product support and respond to product-related technical inquiries from various internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of data management and analysis experience, SQL Server system experience and of Business Analyst experience.- Certified Business Analyst of a relevant International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) (ECBA, CCBA, CBAP or CBATL) is an asset.- Experience with SQL Studio, Tableau, FME, Power Platform.- Collaborative approach to troubleshooting and problem solving, and ability to research and analyze.- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a calm and professional manner.- Strong facilitation and communication skills.

- Please note: Should an individual with the required qualifications not be available, applicants with closely related qualifications may be considered. As a result, the position may be redesigned and/or reclassified.- This position is eligible as a Temporary Assignment. Should the successful employee be a permanent employee, they would retain their permanent status for the term of the contract and potentially be eligible for Acting Pay as per the AER’s Compensation Policy. At the end of the assignment, the employee would either return to their current role or be reassigned to an equivalent role within the organization.
