This well-established home furnishings, major appliances, design & mattresses retailer is looking for you to bring your proven sales expertise and excellent customer service skills. Working out of our showroom your professionalism and creative eye will add to your success. **Position Summary**:
Be passionate about people & their homes Primarily a sales position, the consultant's role is to maximize sales by leveraging product & industry knowledge while providing solutions to our clients way of living.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Provide a luxury experience for GP Home Furniture customers.
- Maintain a strong interest in the interior design, cooking & kitchen industry
- Maximizes sales opportunities with every customer by using current selling techniques and company programs.
- Actively generate leads through various channels, including referrals, networking events, & outreach events.
- Leverage social media platforms to showcase your expertise & attract potential clients.
- Provides coverage and assistance in all areas of the store where business needs
- Communicating regularly with their Manager to maximize sales.
- Support the visual & quality standards of GP Home Furniture by maintaining company merchandising standards, including current pricing, signage, plan-o-grams, promotional planners, ad set-ups and displays.
- Has a complete understanding of all company policies and procedures related to this position, as outlined in the training checklist.
- Maintains general cleanliness of all areas, including receiving area, lunchroom and washrooms as assigned, according to company standards.
- Checks all sources of communication for information (white boards, bulletin boards, portal, etc).
- Ensures the proper use and care of all equipment.
- Associate is expected to maintain a safe working environment and follow all company protocols for safety and is required to report any unsafe working conditions to a manager.

- Ability to resolve customer concerns in a diplomatic manner.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize efficiently to effectively handle their daily responsibilities and serve our customers.

Preferred:

- 3-5 Years of sales and/or retail experience is preferred with direct accountability for achieving sales and service targets.
- Successful completion of high school is preferred.
- Licensed to drive

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift & mobilize small to medium items while utilizing equipment & techniques.
- Ability to maneuver effectively around showroom floor, warehouse, & office
- Position entails prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, & climbing.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$100,000.00 per month
