This kind, and professional family have recently from the US and are loving their new neighbourhood in York Mills (York Mills Rd & Yonge St).
Their 12 year old daughter is enthusiastic, energetic, super smart, has a great sense of humour. They are looking for a nanny who shares these qualities She likes to socialize, read, chat about current events and play tennis. She is also in involved in some school sports and other activities, which change throughout the school year. As the child is in her middle school years, it is important the Nanny has patience and is empathetic, but is also willing to enforce rules around electronic use (there are limits on screen time and social media) and set a good example as it relates to tech-etiquette, interacting with adults, and general manners. It is also important to the family that the Nanny be diligent, self-confident, and self-motivated.

The position will start mid-late August and the schedule will consist of at least 5-weekday afternoon/evenings (3:30 PM-6:30 PM) and some weekday or weekend evenings for when the parents want a date night or have a work obligation. The family can guarantee at least 15 hours per week. The schedule is slightly flexible and will depend on the parents work commitments.

Primary responsibilities will include meeting or picking up the child from school (by car or transit), transporting to after school activities like drama or tennis lessons, help with homework, dinner meal prep, making sure she completes her daily chores, and help with occasional errands and light housework.

The family has an adorable medium-sized Bernedoodle who may need to be picked up from daycare, bathed occasionally and taken for walks.

Driving is required and it is very strongly preferred that they Nanny has their own vehicle for use.

Both the child and Mom are vegetarians, so the Nanny must be comfortable preparing vegetarian meals and snacks.

This would be a great opportunity for a Nanny who is a student or is looking to supplement another part-time position and grow with a lovely family.
