The Manager will prioritize nurturing robust relationships with stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration to achieve shared goals. Your focus on event and show attraction will ensure The Aud remains a premier destination. Additionally, you will spearhead initiatives to enhance the facility's infrastructure and amenities.**Responsibilities**:

- In the spirit of fostering a vibrant and uplifting work environment, the Manager provides leadership and support to a diverse team of over 200 staff members. This includes providing mentorship, fostering a culture of inclusivity and innovation, and facilitating opportunities for staff to grow and develop their own skill set and expertise. Through effective leadership and a focus on building a cohesive community, the Manager will cultivate a workplace culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and inspired to provide world-class customer service.
- As the driving force behind attracting premier sporting events and shows, the Manager serves as the central figure for negotiating contracts with key stakeholders, including promoters, agents, clients, and tenants such as Live Nation, Home Show, and KW Titans. By actively seeking out new business opportunities, the Manager will lead work to strategically identify opportunities to generate additional revenue streams. Through these efforts, the Manager will help enhance The Aud's reputation as a premier destination, ensuring that it remains a sought-after venue for top-tier events that captivate audiences and contribute to the vibrancy of our community.
- Nurturing robust relationships with stakeholders is paramount in achieving mutually beneficial relationships and leaving a lasting impression with our patrons. The manager is responsible for cultivating trust and collaboration among a diverse array of internal and external partners, including key sports teams and their leagues like the Kitchener Rangers (OHL) and KW Titans (BSL), media outlets, government officials, sponsors, minor sport groups, and entertainment industry professionals.
- The Manager is responsible for effectively negotiating contracts with vendors, IATSE, event organizers, and other stakeholders, always striving to secure favorable terms that support our shared objectives.
- Through collaboration with The Aud staff team and key city stakeholders, the Manager will prepare and monitor an annual operating budget ($3.5 million in revenues and $4.3 million in expenses) and the allocation of $900,000 annually to our capital budget to meet our goals and provide the best possible services to our community.

**Requirements**:
- Three-year degree in a related field (Sport Management, Venue Management, Business Administration, or another directly related field)
- Minimum 7 years' relevant experience in a senior leadership role as a venue manager of a major sport and entertainment related facility (OHL experience is an asset).
- Specialized venue management training from the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) trade association is an asset (e.g., Venue Management School, Academy for Venue Safety and Security, etc.)
- Demonstrated success in leading diverse teams within a unionized environment developing a strong workplace culture in delivering world class customer service along with effective, efficient, and responsive service delivery strategies and processes.
