**The Opportunity**

The Manager, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion will provide operational support for the effective implementation of initiatives and activities that embed equity, diversity & inclusion (EDI) into the fabric of the organization. Reporting to our Director of Engagement, Culture and ED&I this is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with our ED&I Taskforce and Employee Resource Groups (ERG), and to support the execution of Amica's first EDI strategic plan. You will bring a deep understanding of best practices in equity, diversity and inclusion and know how to align and support overall organizational culture and engagement. As the Program Manager you will possess skills in training and facilitation in a variety of ED&I related topics, knowledge of change management principles and support building strong relationships with our Team Members across the organization. The role also requires the ability to provide support and make recommendations on how to address systemic barriers and exclusionary practices to ensure equitable representation and inclusion of equity deserving communities including black, 2SLGBTQ+, new immigrants and historically excluded communities and individuals.

**What you will be doing**
- Oversee the implementation of our ED&I Strategic Plan to ensure goals are achieved and ongoing progress is measured and celebrated
- Identify the appropriate levers and opportunities that can elevate our ability to demonstrate equitable representation of our team members and leaders across all roles within the organization
- Provide support and be point of contact for our ERGs ensuring alignment with our values, ED&I Strategic Plan and organizational strategy
- Develop, facilitates or procure training that fosters an inclusive culture, with emphasis on topics such as human rights and harassment, anti-racism, unconscious bias, allyship, civility and respect, cultural competence, etc.
- Act as a central source of information to address ED&I issues at Amica.
- Define, deliver and report on fundamental metrics as defined by ED&I Strategic Plan to gain insight into current and future metrics including representation
- Work alongside Leaders to investigate any claims that breach Amica’s ED&I policy
- Work closely with members of the Amica’s People Development team to integrate accessibility and diversity-related material into programming, to create a more equitable and inclusive organization.
- Support and provide leadership to the Life Enrichment team on programming related to diversity, equity and social inclusion
- Enroll key stakeholders including People Development, Life Enrichment, Corporate Communications, Marketing, and other cross functional partners to embed D&I practices in talent and resident services

**looking for**
- Five (5) years of experience in supporting ED&I programming, preferably in an influencing capacity.
- Experience with design and facilitation of ED&I topics including Anti-Racism, Unconscious Bias, Cultural Competence. Proven ability to develop EDI content and facilitate large groups
- A degree in Education, Social Justice, Psychology, Social Services or a closely related field.
- Adult Training/Facilitation & Education certification or equivalent experience preferred.
- Alternative Dispute Resolution certificate considered an asset
- Canadian Certified Inclusion Practitioner considered an asset
- Demonstrated coaching, team building and training skills.
- Ability to think critically and problem solve key areas of ED&I from data collection, analysis, and formulating recommendations.
