Victoria, Canada Hotel Grand Pacific Full time

Located in Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour, the Hotel Grand has a position available for a Houseperson. As a member of the Housekeeping team, you will play an important role in helping our independent hotel achieve its mission to provide a superior level of service to our guests. **Description of Duties**:

- Ensure that established cleanliness standards are maintained in all areas of the Hotel
- Clean floors, carpets and windows
- Respond to requests for housekeeping item deliveries
- Provide support to Room Attendants as required
- Communicate guest concerns to ensure the highest level of service is provided
- Report any maintenance concerns to ensure safety standards are met

**Required Skills & Abilities**:

- WHMIS certification desired
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience
- Adaptable to changing demands
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical position
- Excellent attention to detail
- Clear and effective communication skills
- An efficient self-starter
- Able to handle and move objects weighing up to 30 lbs over short distances
- Able to occasionally push carts weighing up to 200 lbs over moderate distances
- Available to work over 30 hours per week
- Available to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, and overnights

Pay: $25.73 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
