As part of the Collective Impact Project (Projet Impact Collectif/PIC), the Mobilization Agent's mandate is to participate in the planning and implementation of activities arising from the Housing for All initiative. The project aims to address growing housing needs by supporting an increase in the stock of community housing across the southern West Island.
This is primarily implemented through engagement with community housing partners, elected officials, city planning departments, and the residents of the southern West Island.

In partnership with the PIC Project Coordinator and in collaboration with the TQSOI team, the Mobilization Agent's duties can be summarized as follows:
**TASK DESCRIPTIONS**

Outreach and mobilization;
Implement engagement strategies with key stakeholders such as elected officials, city planners, and community housing partners.
Develop and implement a public mobilization strategy
- Co-plan and participate in committee meetings.
Create content for communication and outreach material.

Event facilitation and organization;
Participate in the planning, promotion, facilitation and evaluation of events.
Complete follow-up with event participants.

Research activities;
Conduct research on affordable housing issues and urban development.
Create reports, briefs, infographics, or other communication tools.

Administration and governance;
Participate in team meetings.
Participate in funding efforts.
All other related tasks.

**REQUIREMENTS**

University level education in a program such as Urban Planning, Geography, Sociology, Social Work, Political
Science or any related discipline that would give them the background skills required for the position, or relevant work experience;
Excellent knowledge of Office suite and social media platforms;
Experience in collective action and mobilization (group animation, facilitation, etc.)is an asset;
Demonstrates initiative, high level of autonomy and creativity;
Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail;
Ability to multitask;
Interest in affordable housing and social justice issues;
Interest or experience working in the community sector and/or the West Island community is an asset;
Interest or experience with urban planning is an asset;
Works well in collaboration with others and maintains positive working relationships;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French, **bilingualism is required;**
A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is an asset.

**CONDITIONS DETAILS**

Work hours 35 hours/ week and salary: 27$/h.

Duration of employment: One-year contract with possibility of extension.

Start date : Immediately.

Location: Mix of remote and in-person work in the West Island.

Conditions and benefits: Flexible working conditions with 3 weeks paid vacation, 2 weeks paid vacation during the Christmas vacations.
