**Research Associates**:
**Position Overview**:
The Research Associate works with German-Canadian Studies on its Open Access Initiative, which consists of completing a list of assembled publications from the holder of the Chair and former GCS scholarship recipients, and uploading, in collaboration with UWinnipeg Library staff, as many GCS publications as possible to WinnSpace and other online publication repositories.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Interpret research findings and perform editorial tasks.
- The Research Associate will be responsible for ensuring the completeness of the compiled list of publications from the Chair in German-Canadian Studies and previous GCS scholarship recipients. They will correctly document all bibliographical information.
- Contribute to overall activities and internal operations related to the research project.
- The Research Associate will work in concert with UWinnipeg Library staff to locate and make available publication files to be stored on WinnSpace and submitted to other online publication repositories.
- Perform other duties, including administrative support, as required or assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in History or the Humanities
- Strong written and spoken English skills
- Strong written and spoken German skills
- Experience with bibliographical software (e.g. Zotero) an asset
- Must have strong organizational skills, work well autonomously, and have good computer skills
- Must be dependable and detail-oriented

**Condition(s) of Employment**:

- **Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.**

**Note**: The work described in this posting will be conducted primarily remotely with occasional in person meetings required.
