**Food & Support Services Supervisor**

**Primary Focus**:
To assist the Support Services Director in planning and implementing a schedule for all staff in the Dietary, Laundry and Housekeeping Departments, monitoring and approving employee timesheets in the payroll/scheduling software. To provide support and assistance to employees in each department to ensure the work assigned is accomplished. Responsible for materials management tasks, including to monitor inventory and submit product orders.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education/Registration**

**▪** Certificate, diploma or degree in food service and/or managerial education.

▪ Food Handler Certificate

**Experience**

▪ Minimum of five (5) years experience in food services, with preference given to those with additional experience and/or with experience in a long term care

setting.

▪ Experience in the supervision of employees.

▪ Experience in a housekeeping and laundry setting is preferred.

▪ Leadership experience as part of a team in a healthcare field is preferred.

**Expertise**

▪ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in the English language, with experience in communicating at a variety of levels including management, staff, residents and families.

▪ Knowledgeable regarding support services, meeting standards and staff supervision.

▪ Collaborative working style and able to work both in a team and independently.

▪ Accomplished writing and computer skills, including use of computer software

for word processing, spreadsheets, staff scheduling and payroll.

▪ Confident and appropriate in working with the elderly.

0.70 EFT - 26.25 hours per week - Weekdays (No weekend work required)

Pay: From $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 26.25 per week
