**Internal Job Title: Technician**

Immeubles Karmel is a property management company that has been operating for over 25 years. Our team manages 1000 units in the Greater Montreal region.

**Job Title: Maintenance Worker**

Reporting to the operations manager, our maintenance crew is responsible for the coordination and execution of repairs and improvements necessary for the upkeep of a portfolio of buildings.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Respond to and execute work orders issued by our service center
- Variety of repair work (minor electricity, plumbing, ceramic, paint, etc)
- Maintenance and repair of appliances (refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers)
- Preventive maintenance work (cleaning of drains, lubrication of doors and handles, inspections of roofs are some examples)
- Supervision of seasonal workers for various tasks
- Assisting building superintendents by delivering cleaning supplies and various materials
- Delivery and handling of appliances when needed (refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers)
- Submit time sheets and work orders in a timely manner to management
- Assist team meetings to discuss the status of various repairs and other projects
- Help supervise the work of contractors in the remodeling of apartment units and report to management
- All other tasks deemed necessary

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Minimum High School level education
- Contracting/Repair experience - must have knowledge in plumbing electricity, HVAC, Plaster, painting, ceramic, basic carpentry
- Must have their own set of tools
- Able to work independently, self-motivated, and adaptable
- Capable of working in teams and to cooperate with others
- Detail Oriented, Analytical & Self-sufficient
- Strong Communication Skills, written and spoken
- Responsible and organized
- Language: French and English Written and Spoken
- Class 5 Driver's license (must)

**Job Status**: Permanent/Full-Time

**Job Shift**: Weekdays

**Immediate Superior**: Property Manager

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 3 years (required)
