Mess Supervisor

**THE ROLE**
The Mess Supervisor assists with the planning, organizing, staffing and supervising of bar services and mess operations including mess entertainment, military and private functions such as set-up and take down of functions. They organize, supervise and provide administrative support to mess operations and mess and military functions. They supervise and train employees and prepare work schedules and input hours into the applicable payroll program including verifying time sheets. The incumbent also assists in the preparation of Talent Performance for employees.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**

High school diploma AND several years of experience in the food and beverage service, or a related hospitality field

Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (18)

Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (ON)

Valid Driver’s Licence (ON), an asset

**Experience**

In providing hospitality and bar operations services

In budget administration

In cash handling

In preparing bank deposits and floats

In event planning and organizing

In inventory control

In personnel administration
