**Facilities Maintenance Coordinator**

Reports to: Lab Manager

**Building**

Manage relationships with contractors and service providers to ensure proper functionality of:

- Alarm/security system and door locks
- Communication with landlord regarding the building (repairs, leaks, issues)
- Communication with vendors (pest control, cleaners, laundry service, plumbing, heating)
- Install equipment and furniture (e.g. shelving, benches, desks)

**Routine cleaning and maintenance**
- Daily cleaning of facility, offices, lab, restrooms, etc.
- Central vacuum system (weekly cleaning unit and changing filters as needed)
- Routine cleaning of plaster traps
- Handyman-type work: perform minor equipment repairs, installations etc.

**Stock Facility Items**
- Material and supplies storage and organization
- Costco run: toilet paper, cleaning supplies, paper towels, first aid
- Go to facilities vendors to fill up for O2/Propane/Nitrogen tanks
- Hardware store run

**Garbage and Recycling Management**
- Manage proper waste disposal/recycling of chemicals, equipment (electronics, mechanical, large), materials (metal, lightbulb, wood), furniture

**Health and Safety**
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Performs routine inspections of the facility and equipment and fill out report
- Participate in the Health and Safety Committee
- Gather and organize SDS sheets
- Ensure the facility has proper signage and posters

**5S**
- Assist with: organizing, sorting, labeling, and maintaining
- Organization of cables under workstations
- Assist inventory organization

**Documentation**
- Create and fill out checklists
- Map out electrical capacity (for example)
- Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily/weekly activities
- Log inventory of equipment and tools

**Qualifications**:

- Previous janitorial/commercial cleaning experience
- Be able to multitask and make quick decisions
- Highly organized
- Independent and self sufficient; ability to work unsupervised
- Keep up with the fast-paced operation
- Excellent time management skills

**Bâtiment**

Gérer les relations avec les entrepreneurs et les prestataires de services pour assurer le bon fonctionnement de:

- Système d'alarme/sécurité et serrures de porte
- Communication avec le propriétaire concernant l'immeuble (réparations, fuites, problèmes)
- Communication avec les fournisseurs (lutte antiparasitaire, nettoyeurs, service de blanchisserie, plomberie, chauffage)
- Installer l'équipement et le mobilier (par exemple, étagères, bancs, bureaux)

**Nettoyage et entretien courant**
- Nettoyage quotidien des installations, bureaux, laboratoires, toilettes, etc.
- Système d'aspirateur central (unité de nettoyage hebdomadaire et changement des filtres au besoin)
- Nettoyage courant des pièges à plâtre
- Travaux de type bricoleur : effectuer des réparations mineures d'équipements, des installations, etc.

- Course Costco : papier toilette, produits de nettoyage, serviettes en papier, premiers soins
- Rendez-vous chez les vendeurs d'installations pour faire le plein de réservoirs d'O2/Propane/Azote.
- Gestion d'une quincaillerie

**Gestion des déchets et du recyclage**
- Gérer correctement l'élimination/le recyclage des déchets de produits chimiques, d'équipements (électroniques, mécaniques, gros), de matériaux (métal, ampoule, bois), de meubles.

**Santé et sécurité**
- Identifier et atténuer les dangers potentiels
- Effectue des inspections de routine des installations et des équipements et remplit le rapport
- Participer au comité de santé et de sécurité
- Rassembler et organiser les fiches FDS
