**Overview**:

- Transport goods and materials over land to and from manufacturing plants, distribution centers, or retail locations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts, when applicable.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
- Effective communication with the dispatcher by providing load updates and reporting any challenges or issues.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS**:

- Possess a valid commercial driver's license class 1
- Mountain experience is required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Complete daily pre/post-trip truck inspections.
- Provide updates and keep track of temperatures of freight.
- Ability to operate forklifts for loading/unloading tasks.
- Knowledge of basic automotive repair is a plus.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Minimum 2 years tractor trailer experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to drive nights occasionally.
- Required to pass Drug Test, Road Test, and Criminal Back Check
