**Job Description and Duties for Housekeeper**

**Position Title**: Houskeeper

**Reports To**: Food Service Coordinator/Chef & Facilities Coordinator

**Position Summary**:
As a Housekeeper you would be responsible to prepare and deliver breakfast service, providing a high standard of fresh food to 24 Residents within a home. Oversee cleaning and maintenance of all resident areas within the residence, providing an accessible, tidy and presentable home for our residents.

**Housekeeper Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Take control of the breakfast service and ensure Residents receive a delicious and enjoyable breakfast (7-9:30am)
- Cooking and managing breakfast service
- Setting up and cleaning down the kitchen after breakfast.
- Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times.
- Ensure all products are kept under optimum conditions, ie. Held at proper temperatures.
- Ensure all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time.
- Ensure all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity.
- Ensure the department is operated within the appropriate legislation and the appropriate records are maintained up-to-date.
- Ensure any anticipated issues are communicated promptly to the Food Service and Care Coordinator.
- Ensuring and controlling levels of Resident satisfaction and quality on an ongoing basis.
- Collect feedback from the Resident during the breakfast session and report to Food Service Coordinator on any complaints or issues.
- Monitor and Ensuring that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times.
- Sweep kitchen and dining room after breakfast is complete
- Personal grooming and appearance standards are met regarding cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene.
- Adhere and follow schedule of deep cleans ensuring that residents bathrooms are cleaned and rooms are dusted and tidy
- Completely laundry as necessary to the needs of the cottage
- Adhere to Health & Safety policies and regulations
- Attend training courses as and when required
- Carry out any other duties as required by management.
- Dusting living room, common areas, indoor sunroom tables, tv stand and furnitures
- Vacuum/magic mop common areas including but not limited to living room, TV room, Sitting rooms, dining rooms and public washrooms.

**Prerequisites**:

- Passion for cooking and cleaning
- Friendly outgoing personality along with excellent personal presentation.
- Passionate about producing high quality food.
- Able to tackle every task given to you with the highest levels of enthusiasm.
- Be an excellent team player

**Job Type**: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week
