Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Production Superintendent to join our team. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Superintendent ensures the day-to-day production process is optimized and runs efficiently with both internal and subcontracted activities at the designated aggregates operations. This position is based our of Delta, BC.

**What you’ll get to do**:

- Plans and schedules plant production based on maximizing productivity and best utilization of manpower, resources and equipment
- Supervises and directs production crews to complete tasks required and communicates annual and daily performance targets
- Reports daily production as well as tracks KPI’s of plant performance
- Ensures material production meets quality control standards
- Assist in accessing and optimizing the usage of existing reserves
- Ensures proper staffing levels are kept for the efficiency of the plants at all times
- Promotes safe work habits and provides safe working conditions - lead daily tailgate meetings, ensure job tasks are completed as per job procedures, and demonstrates leadership towards all company safety policies

**Who we are looking for**:

- Proven leadership and supervisory experience
- Minimum 5 years in aggregate mining / production
- Experience operating process equipment (i.e. jaw crushers, cone crushers, screens, classifiers, etc.) is required
- Experience operating and evaluating competency on mobile equipment such as wheel loader, dozer, excavator, rock truck an asset
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Able to proactively manage health & safety of employees to continuously improve the company’s health & safety performance
- Demonstrated proficiencies with Microsoft software programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement

**Work Environment**:

- Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels
