**Sales Assistant**

ALBERTA MOTOR XPRESS LTD is a leading provider of manufacturing support services to the global automotive industry. ALBERTA MOTOR XPRESS LTD’s line of products includes manufacturing support services for the automotive industry, such as press brakes, wheel locks, and wheel locks for trucks and other vehicles.

**Position Description**:
The Sales Assistant position is a key member of the sales team responsible for supporting the sales department in achieving company sales goals. This position requires the ability to build relationships with prospective and current customers, as well as maintaining strong relationships with current customers. The Sales Assistant will be responsible for helping customers with product questions, product returns, pricing, ordering supplies, shipping materials, and other related items.

**Principal Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Build long term customer relationships with internal and external customers.
- Price products appropriately based on customer needs and availability of product.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding product questions and/or problems.
- Maintain strict compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Line up loads to ensure the best time efficiency and load factor
- Coordinate maintenance to city tractors and trailers
- Assist other dispatch staff as required during spikes in workload
- Assist other dispatch staff as required by preparing and analyzing various reports as required
- Provide Drivers with the right information and equipment in order to make the entire customer experience positive from start to finish
- Participate in sales meetings with other team members and other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
- Ensure that all paperwork for each sale is completed and maintained in an organized manner.
- Assist in maintaining a clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; College Degree preferred. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
- Strong communication skills, writing skills, and ability to write clear and concise messages through verbal communication using grammar and spelling rules preferred.

**Salary**: From $48,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Commission pay
- Signing bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- sales: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)

Work Location: In person
