**Purchasing Analyst**

***
- As a member of the Purchasing Department, this position is responsible for assessing and improving key performance indicators and maximizing the supply base.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Develop and measure key performance indicators and process improvements.
- Establish metrics and status of SCAN’s, track SCAN history by suppliers.
- Create daily, weekly, and monthly metric reports for Purchasing department.
- Create weekly surplus report and work with Purchasing department to maximize capital, prevent surplus inventory, and recover money invested in inventory with no future requirements.
- Work with customer service team to ensure suppliers respond to SCANs within New Flyer required timelines.
- Maintain effective supplier quality rating and external performance reporting program.
- Assist in the development, communication, and deployment of departmental policies, guidelines, and tools to ensure success in all processes.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:

- University or college degree in Supply Chain Management would be an asset.
- Five years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset.
- Innovative problem solver and data miner with ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
- Superior interpersonal skills combined with a professional attitude to provide and maintain excellent customer service.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present.
- Strong knowledge MS Excel and Oracle skills are required.
