The Position:
This is a full-time permanent position based at the Orange Hub Center and will report to the Program Supervisor. The Team Lead (TL) provides leadership and support to Community Specialists (CS) and participants for assigned programs. This role will ensure program planning and implementation focuses on participant goals and meeting assigned outcomes.
The conscientious Team Lead will act with integrity, be open to growth, live our purpose, cultivate teamwork, and put forth an extraordinary effort to empower people with diverse abilities and their families to grow, succeed, and belong.
- Informs, supports, trains, mentors, leads, and oversees direct care front-line employees
- Plans programming, ensuring meaningful days and purposeful support
- Foster genuine relationships promoting dignity, personal interests, and identities
- Empower people with diverse abilities to create meaningful days and achieve their goals
- Identifies and solves problems, building staff capacity in difficult situations
- Conducts general administration, follow ups, documentation, and reporting duties as assigned
- Ensures a risk-free, stimulating, safe, and supportive environment
- Perform other job-related activities as required
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum education requirement of High School Diploma with 3-5 years of related experience, or a Diploma or Certificate in Disability Services, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field with 2-3 years of related experience, or a University Degree is Disability Services, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field with 1-2 years of related experience
- Alignment with AdaptAbilities’ core purpose and core values
- Ability to remain calm in emotionally challenging situations and effectively use empathy
- Intermediate First Aid Certification CPR Level C and AED is required
- Clean class 5 driver’s license and vehicle required
- Abuse Prevention and Response Protocol is required for Team Leads working with adults
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Medication Administration are required
- Clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check
Compensation: $26.98 - 28.44 / hour depending on the level of education and experience
