We are now hiring for **Full and Part Time Seasonal Sales Associate/Cashier** positions in the store. Applicants need to be available for eight-hour shifts, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and weekends 9am to 5pm. Our busy season begins in April and slows by the end of June. Up to full time hours are offered during the busy season with the possible option of part time hours available through the summer and beyond. This is not a position suitable for students.

**A Seasonal Sales Associate/Cashier continually interacts with the customers in a friendly and courteous manner. The cashier will greet customers, answer their questions or direct them to the staff member who can. This role requires the ability to handle a high volume of transactions quickly and accurately. Cashiers are also required to help with re-stocking, merchandising, and assisting customers to load large and heavy purchases, and general cleaning.**

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Provide excellent customer service in a friendly and courteous manner
- Process retail transactions quickly and accurately
- Direct customers to product locations
- Answer customer questions as able or have a coworker assist
- Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Keep informed of weekly specials and promotions
- Restock shelves and merchandise as needed
- Help with receiving and pricing new merchandise
- Help with customer carry-outs of large and heavy purchases
- Keep retail areas clean and tidy

**Requirements**:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Positive attitude, punctuality and solid work ethic
- Ability to multitask and adapt to quickly changing requirements
- Enjoy providing outstanding customer service
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision on computerized retail system
- Ability to complete assigned tasks accurately with mínimal supervision
- Previous cashier experience preferred
- Some plant knowledge preferred
- Available to work eight-hour shifts Monday through Sunday

**Physical Demands and Working Conditions**
- Standing/walking for 8 hours.
- Lifting and/or carrying of merchandise items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis. Merchandise items may vary in weight from "light" to "heavy".
- Ability to go up and down a ladder while carrying merchandise.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
