Carpentry Foundation Program Evaluator

The Program Evaluator will consult with the program submissions team and Senior Management team for all Carpentry Foundation related programs.
**PTIB Standards**:
**Credential Requirement**:
- Relevant credential plus a minimum of two years of occupational experience in career occupations relevant to the program of instruction.
- No credential but a minimum of ten years of occupational experience in a career relevant to the program of instruction.
**Special Credential Needed (Certification or License)**:
- Certification of Diploma in Carpentry
- Red Seal Certification is advantage
**Specific Qualifications Needed**
**Educational Background**:
- A degree in a related field such as Construction Management, Building Technology, or Architectural Technology or equivalent
**Professional Experience**:
- At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience in carpentry, with a broad range of residential and commercial projects with at least 3 years of experience in an instructional or curriculum development role.
- Experience as a journeyperson carpenter, ideally with a certification like Red Seal (in Canada).
- Proven experience in training, mentoring, or supervising apprentices or junior carpenters.
**Skills and Competencies**:
- Expertise in carpentry techniques and the use of various tools and materials.
- Ability to clearly explain carpentry concepts and techniques to learners at various levels.
- Skills in creating and delivering training materials, workshops, and educational programs.
- Skills in assessing training needs, evaluating program effectiveness, and implementing improvements.
- Familiarity with current carpentry regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Flexibility to adapt to new techniques, tools, and industry changes.
**Compensation**:
- This will be a contract position that will pay $250.00 to $300 Canadian per project
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $80.00-$100.00 per hour
