This role will require an individual who is passionate about quality assurance, who will champion the implementation of rigorous quality and testing standards to guarantee the seamless delivery of changes to HomeEquity Bank's core business systems.

The Manager, Business Application Quality will train, coach and mentor a team of quality assurance analysts in upholding the highest level of quality throughout the development lifecycle. They will lead the team in the design and execution on test plans and will work closely with business analysts and developers to ensure that delivery meets the product requirements and quality standards, with mínimal production defects.

MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE
- Develop, monitor, analyze and report on key team metrics for the purpose of driving continuous improvement in the area of quality assurance.
- Develop processes, procedures, and standards necessary to ensure that Enterprise Systems can deliver exceptional service to our business users through quality support.
- Provide leadership and expertise to recruit, engage and retain qualified employees for the quality assurance practice.
- Provides support and direction in the development, alignment, and accomplishment of objectives for quality assurance analysts through continual constructive feedback, recognition and coaching.
- Establish clear and measurable goals for direct reports and ensure the team has the tools to succeed and improve performance.
- Establish and enforce best practices, frameworks, and processes for the quality assurance team to establish and uphold standards to grow and enhance the quality assurance practice.
- Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the quality assurance team, driving test strategies, planning and activities to ensure continuous and effective testing support on all sprints and releases.
- Ensure resources are available and allocated to ensure full testing coverage of all changes within delivery sprints and releases.
- Collaborate with business analysts, the development team and business end users to understand the expected outcomes and technical solution of system change requests.
- Review and provide guidance on the development of comprehensive test plans to ensure they encompass scenarios addressing both system changes and business processes.
- Assess all test coverage to ensure proactive measures to mitigate potential system defects.
- Participate in the development and execution of test plans and cases, as required, to provide adequate coverage of deliverables for the quality assurance team.
- Develop and continuously enhance automated testing procedures to cover regression, recurring and complex test plans.
- Coordinate Sprint, Release and Maintenance Regression testing for all planned changes to core business systems and integrations with Vendors.
- Monitor the progress of test execution during delivery sprints and releases, providing regular updates on coverage, bugs and completion and escalating roadblocks when required.
- Analyze and report on bug rates found during testing, test coverage, and defects generated from delivery.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on delivery quality and provide recommendations for change and improvement to leadership.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education, a technology or business-related diploma or related equivalent experience
- Progressive experience in quality assurance and testing
- Experience in coaching, training, mentoring, and leading a team of testers
- Demonstrated experience developing high quality test plans, test designs, test strategies, automation strategies and leading test execution
- Solid knowledge and working experience in a financial services environment
- Experience working with Salesforce would be considered an asset
