The Service Technician is responsible for the repair and support of lighting equipment as well as Quality Control for all lighting inventory.

**Key Success Factors**:
A successful Service Technician will combine technical skills with customer service and time management. Finding efficient solutions to customers’ equipment issues and eliminating defective equipment from inventory are foundational responsibilities for this role. Maintaining a quick turnaround on repairs and maximizing the availability of tested inventory are the primary success factors for this role.

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Equipment repair & support**

As a service technician, your role involves providing equipment repair and support services. This includes diagnosing and fixing electronic, electrical, or mechanical faults in lighting, control, and special FX equipment for all supported brands. You adhere to service standards to ensure timely delivery of quality outputs. To replenish parts and supplies, you submit requisitions through the purchasing department. In addition, you offer phone support to clients who may have faulty or defective gear by recommending appropriate solutions. You keep track of service status using the ERP system (NetSuite) and maintain a clean and organized work area.

**2. Quality Control**

As part of the Quality Control personnel, you should test all inbound equipment through the Quality Control process to ensure that no defective product is released on orders. You should also test returning demo equipment and provide any repairs or maintenance required before making it available again. Additionally, it's your responsibility to repair and record any defective equipment, as well as inventory it. By doing so, you can help ensure that the equipment meets the required standards and specifications and that customers receive high-quality products.

**Professional Attributes**:

- Hands-on experience repairing complicated electronic devices. (Computers and Cell Phones repair do not fall under this category)
- Experience with the service of electronics and motorized/mechanical equipment is required, preferably in the lighting or entertainment industry
- Experience with a wide range of hand tools

**Based on experience the starting salary for this position is: CA$21-25/hr
