**Environmental Field Technician**
**Responsibilities**
- Conduct activities such as environmental monitoring, water and / or soil sampling, etc.
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable data collection
- Prepare clear and concise environmental reports.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Working in remote field locations, using a wide variety of technical equipment.
- Support field training for monitoring activities to support First Nations, Inuit, and Metis Guardians programs.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed.
**Qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience working in the field.
- Comfortable in challenging environments in all seasons and remote areas.
- A Diploma or Degree in environmental sciences, ecology, forestry, aquatics or a related field is required. Applicants with equivalent experience and relevant certifications will also be considered.
- Willingness to perform both field and office tasks, including technical writing and reporting.
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to understand maps, field notes, and comfortable using relevant Apps and software.
- Adaptable, versatile, able to work in a fast-paced environment, willing to learn and explore.
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to manage and organize large amounts of information.
- Ability to communicate with diverse audiences.
- A valid driver’s licence and an ability to travel (sometimes 3 days a week, few weeks in a row).

**Salary Range: $48,000 - $68,000 per year depending on experience**
