Job Summary:
Resumes are being accepted for the position of

**Hours of Work**
35 hours per week, 7 hours per day, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.

**Your role**
- Receives and files Street Occupancy Permit Applications
- Complete technical review, and approval of plant installation by all utilities (with support
from Civil Permit Coordinator), ensuring that City policies, restrictions and other relevant regulations are adhered to. Develop and maintain records of all utility works.
- Provide inspection duties for ongoing utility projects including documentation and
measurements of disturbed areas for restoration.
- Represent the City as a liaison with the utility companies.
- Liaise with internal staff both within Engineering, with other City departments,
external agencies and consultants during the design and construction of projects.
- Assist with preparation of contracts for Utility Restoration Contracts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Must be certified or eligible for certification as an Engineering Technologist by O.A.C.E.T.T.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Knowledge of MTO Book 7 considered an asset.

**Rate**
$27.07 - $33.24
