**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Washing, peeling, chopping large quantities of fruits, meats and vegetables
- Preparing and cooking vegetables, sauces, starches and proteins food consistent with standard production method and recipe
- Maintaining a high level of a high standard of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety
- Working in partnership with the Prep Shift Lead / Production Manager(s) to maintain prep levels
- Respond with urgency to Assembly Team needs/shortages
- Assess and verify adequate ingredients are prepared and ready for the day’s production
- Ensuring the workstation is clean, organized, and sanitary
- Ensuring the workstation is safe for all workers while complying with all health and safety guidelines and SOPs
- Adhere to all aspects of our food safety program and ensure accuracy when recording daily records
- Ensuring that the workstation is closed properly at the end of the shift, as outlined by SHAD food safety policy and relevant SOPs
- Completion of required production records and lot code tracking for all products prepared
- Maintain organization of fridges/freezers/shelves
- Performing other duties as assigned.
**Working Conditions/Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to work on a grill and flat top
- Working within established time standards and strict deadlines to finish tasks in a timely manner
- Significant repetitive chopping, peeling, plating, wrapping and/or labelling of product
- Working long periods walking, standing, bending, and stooping
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling weight up to 30 or more pounds
- Working in a temperature-controlled environment of 4° including a hot kitchen
- Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Functional level of speaking, reading and writing in English required.
