Brewer

Based in Halifax and reporting to the Brew Master, you will be involved in brewing (beer, cider and craft soda), quality assurance and control, cellar work, cleaning and sanitization of equipment, packaging, and other tasks as assigned. This position is full time/permanent, mainly Monday to Friday, with requirement to work evenings and weekends during peak periods.

**Responsibilities**
- Brewing, yeast pitching, record production information.
- Cellar work: Performing tank cleaning & sanitizing, beer transfers, dry-hopping,
fermentation monitoring, cleaning and day-to-day maintenance of equipment.
- Inform supervisor of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities.
- working with chemicals and other workplace hazards in a safe and vigilant manner
- compliance with health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.

**General Skills**
- you have advanced knowledge of the brewing process with minimum 2 years of experience.
- if you have a certificate or advanced education in the brewing process, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field, it is considered an asset.
- if you have mechanical skills, they are considered an asset.
- you are detail oriented
- you can work independently and exercise good judgement in decision making
- you are multi-skilled and flexible
- you are capable of troubleshooting issues
- you can work through challenges and changes
- you have some computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.).
- you are comfortable with the physical aspects of the job including extended periods of standing, bending, twisting, lifting, climbing, etc.

**Salary**: $38,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
