Robertson Floors is a well-diversified national flooring contractor primarily focused on commercial work throughout British Columbia and Alberta. We specialize in virtually every aspect of floor preparation and flooring including ceramic tile, natural stone tile and slab work, hardwood, laminates, carpets, and vinyls.
Position summary:
Robertson Floors is currently searching for a Jr. Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our current North Vancouver Head Office, with firm plans to move to a new location in South Vancouver on the 1st semester of 2023.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster positive working relationships with client estimating departments
- Service existing clientele at a level consistent with our reputation and expectations
- Thorough review of drawings and specifications
- Perform take offs and bid preparation for review
- Bid follow up and response to client queries
- Project coordination duties including:
- Placing material orders
- Coordinate material delivery/freight
- Liase between client team and installation team for scheduling and task completion
- Promote positive relationships with installation teams
- General quality and cost control
Skills & Qualifications:
- Post secondary education is an asset
- Prior experience with On Screen Take Off or other digital take off software is a definite asset
- Exposure to reading and deciphering architectural blue prints and specifications
- An understanding of the importance budgeting and budget management have on the success of construction projects
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- Fluent in written and verbal English and an ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills; positive attitude and cooperative outlook
- Ability to work well with various participants of the construction process (internal and external)
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to handle tight deadlines
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing timelines
- A high degree of professionalism
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
