Eagle Builders is a family-owned and operated manufacturing and construction company rooted in Christian beliefs and values. We specialize in the design, engineering, fabrication, and building of precast concrete structures. Based out of Blackfalds, Alberta, Eagle Builders completes projects across Western Canada.

**Position Summary**

The length of the project is tentatively 6 months with the possibility of extension, depending on construction progress. The position will be full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, occasional Saturday may be required. Flexibility and overtime will be required.
- Provide first aid as per WorkSafe BC legislation at the worksite
- Supervision of all workers both Eagle and sub-trades daily to correct unsafe acts and ensure safety conscience attitudes and work
- Complete daily site inspections, review hazard assessments and maintain updated onsite safety paperwork
- Ensure first aid is available and kits in stock, as well as fire extinguishers readily available and in working condition
- Conduct toolbox meetings to increase awareness of specific safety hazards
- Investigation and follow-up of all incidents, first aid recorders, and near-misses
- Complete site-specific and sub-trade orientations
- Assist onsite site supervisor with administrative tasks as needed
- Maintain effective communication with onsite workers, site supervisor, safety manager, and other field safety advisors
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures

**Requirements**:

- **OFA Level 2 First Aid**
- Valid Class 5 license, acceptable abstract, and reliable transportation
- Available to work Monday - Friday, occasional Saturday
- Minimum 44 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
- Must be local to the Merritt area
- Expected to supply their own mobile device (Laptop will be provided)
- Proficient in both verbal and written English communication
- Ability to maintain effective work relationships
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office

**Assets**
- Knowledge of WorkSafe BC, WHMIS 2015, and related legislation
- General construction knowledge
