**IN OFFICE POSITION - LONDON, ONTARIO**

**POSITION TITLE: IT Specialist**

**REPORTS TO: Operations Manager**

The IT Specialist provides IT services to our clients, including break/fix, user training and recommending IT solutions based on the customer’s specific needs.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Troubleshooting and configuring computer hardware & software, peripherals (printers, scanners, monitors), phones etc.
- Network appliance configuration and troubleshooting.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical clients to solve technical issues.
- Resolve issues for clients via phone, remote support, or in person.
- Research and implement IT solutions.
- Write and maintain technical manuals and documentation.
- Occasional after-hours support

**EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Community College Diploma or University Graduate in Computer Science, Computer Networking or a related field.
- IT qualifications will be considered in conjunction with relative experience.

**EXPERIENCE**:
**Required Experience**:

- 3 years working in a computer support environment.
- 3 years working with Microsoft Windows Servers
- 3 years of hands-on experience with network appliances (Routers/Switches/Firewalls/APs)
- 3 years troubleshooting Microsoft Windows operating systems (7,10,11)
- 3 years working with Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft 365 Admin Console.

**Additional**
- Microsoft Exchange Server / Microsoft Exchange Online.
- Fortinet configuration
- Hypervisor hands-on (VMWare and Hyper-V)
- Cyber security, RMM, EDR/AV solutions
- Mac O/S and MAC Server.
- Previous work experience for an MSP
- Layer 1 networking (cabling, cable termination)
- Security systems (Cameras and NVRs)
- VoIP PBXs

**PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS**:

- A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for occasional on-site visits
- Excellent English communication skills; both verbal and written.
- Demonstrates great customer service skills, listens carefully, and exercises patience.
- Works well in a team environment and follows established procedures.
- Works well unsupervised
- Organised and meticulous

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- You will have to do some lifting of computer equipment, supplies and materials from
time to time. Ladder use may be required when completing installations.
