We are currently recruiting for full time Packaging Associate - Afternoon Shift at our Ancaster, Ontario facility.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure safe work conditions and practices as outlined in the company Safety, Health & Environmental policies.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Good Production Practices (GPP).
- Weigh and package products according to SOPs, ensuring accurate weights and record keeping.
- Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met.
- Maintain an on-hand inventory of packaging supplies and ensure it is sufficient to meet the demand.
- Clean and sanitize packaging rooms and equipment in compliance with SOPs.
- Participate in Inventory Counts, as needed.
- Understand and operate label software and printers.
- Perform all duties according to SOP, GMP and all other established safety standards and company policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Knowledge with GPP and GMP is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing packaging environment.
- Interpersonal skills are required for daily interactions with shop floor personnel
- Manual functions require good hand / eye co-ordination
- Position requires standing, lifting and walking throughout the day

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- This is a greenhouse working environment, which may have continuous exposure to heat, light and humidity.
- Manual functions require good hand / eye co-ordinationPosition requires standing, bending, lifting, and walking throughout the day.
- May be required to work on weekends and during holidays, from time to time.
