Our Downtown Body Shop, located at 370 King Street East, is looking for an** **Auto Body Prepper to join the team

**Job Purpose**

Auto Body Preppers work on all types of vehicles that have been in collisions. Responsibilities include straightening and replacing body parts, filling, sanding, and priming vehicles so they can be sent to the painter.

**Responsibilities**
- Repairing and restoring damaged vehicles, thoroughly inspecting the vehicle and planning the repair process.
- Following the standard operating procedure of the company.
- Upholding the quality and standards of the services of the organization.
- Completing all tasks assigned by the supervising manager.
- Timely completion of all tasks as per the specified deadline.
- Coordinating work related functions with co-workers.
- Working in regulation of the automobile safety norms.

**Qualifications**
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence.
- Clear Driver’s Abstract.
- Previous experience.
- Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines and complete all assigned tasks.
- Proven organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Sound understanding of all automotive functionalities.

**Working Conditions**
- The Body Shop Advisor will stand and move throughout the Body Shop facility for most of their shift.
- Travel is required amongst the dealerships.
- Bending, stretching, lifting, climbing, and reaching.
- Standing six to eight hours during a shift.
- Using physical and manual dexterity.
- Using computers to look up and enter data.
- Using equipment consistent with industry standards.
- Spend time outdoors showing vehicles to prospective customers and drive vehicles.
- Exposed to noise, vibrations, dust, rust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
