**Hours**: Afternoons, Evenings, Weekends

Choice Homecare is looking for compassionate caregivers to join our team.

We are currently seeking DSW's to provide exceptional in home client care using their acquired skills for our autistic client. Become an active member in planning for your client's care with the assistance of the nurse manager. **Duties and Responsibilities**: Include, but are not limited to, assisting with daily activities, personal care, outings, assisting with mobility, light housekeeping, effective reporting and creating activity plans.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or Certificate from an accredited program required
- Valid police vulnerable sectors check (completed within the last 12 months)
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray (completed within the last 12 months)
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Experience with Dementia and Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
- Proficiency to communicate in English (verbal and written required)
- Proficiency to communicate in Arabic (required)
- Availability to work weekends (required)
- Reliability and flexibility
- Access to internet/mobile phone
- High energy and excellent communication skills

**Other Skills and Abilities**:
Experience working with clients who have cognitive impairments (short term memory, acquired brain injuries). Able to understand the clients' needs and respond appropriately. Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to stand, bend, squat, kneel, reach freely; and freely lift 23 kilograms; able to assist clients with pivot transfers, able to assist the client with dressing.
