**McCrae Recruiting** is looking for an **Experienced Manufacturing Plant Supervisor for the afternoon shift **for a growing team in Durham Region. If you enjoy providing leadership, being responsible for mentoring and coaching employees, and maintaining the flow of production, this is for you

**Job Overview**:

- Supervise the work of all unionized production employees
- Oversee production and shipping schedules based on the availability of raw and finished goods.
- Support cost control initiatives and process control within the plant
- Provide leadership to Plant staff to effectively recruit, train, develop, evaluate, motivate, delegate, and monitor their activities
- Assist administration with ensuring compliance with established policies and helping to create continuous improvement
- Review operations activities to maintain compliance with all Federal, Provincial and local

**Job Benefits**:

**Job Requirements**:

- 2 - 3 years experience in a Plant Supervisory role in a unionized logistics or manufacturing environment
- Forklift Operations experience a must; certification is an asset
- Proven understanding of supply chain and logistics
- Six Sigma/Lean certification is an asset
- Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, and standard cost systems
- Proficient in all Microsoft products and ERP systems, SAP preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills required.
- Possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to effectively impact and influence others.
- Work the Afternoon Shift with the occasional weekend

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
