**POSITION OVERVIEW**

We are looking for an experienced, skilled maintenance technician to join our Team who will play a vital role in investigating, identifying, and conducting a variety of property maintenance repairs at both residential and commercial properties. The position encompasses a range of duties in the field of property maintenance, including move-in / out suite turnover maintenance.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Duties comprise of both routine, one-off, and seasonal tasks as scheduled by Supervising Manager
- Proven handyman and renovation capabilities with a multidisciplinary background
- Experience with Finishing Carpentry, Drywall Repair, and Painting
- Familiarity with household appliance troubleshooting and basic repairs
- Competent Plumbing and Electrical knowledge and repair ability
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to report on assigned tasks via the scheduling software and provide a report on the work completed

- Will communicate respectfully and effectively with co-workers, tenants, and trades
- Has foresight and excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Demonstrated organizational and workspace cleanliness skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Complies with legislation including the Residential Tenancy Act, WCB, and Fire Code - training provided

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**
- Complete a range of general property maintenance repairs ranging including but not limited to Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Drywall, Painting and Appliance Repair
- Perform scheduled, preventive, routine, seasonal, and emergency maintenance
- Monitor supply inventory
- ensure tools and equipment are in working order
- Conduct inspections and report deficiencies / document any follow-up action required
- Assist with event related projects at different properties as needed
- Record activities utilizing digital Maintenance Work Order Forms and timecards
- Fill in and assist team members when coverage is needed
- Participate in salting and snow removal services as needed
- When appropriate, share and assist others with knowledge and skills to help other team members increase their knowledge and skills
- Other related duties as required

**EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS**
- 2 years of maintenance related experience - **required**
- Physical stamina and dexterity. Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required - **required**
- Be able to work on ladders of various heights - **required**
- Valid BC Drivers license and clear driving record - **required**
- Must provide a satisfactory Police Information Check (criminal record) - **required**
- Willing to travel to different locations throughout the Lower Mainland to attend to various maintenance issues arising in premises located in different buildings/locations - company vehicle available
- Basic tools required, company will provide specialized equipment
- Prior safety training including Fall safety and Scissor lift operation an asset - training provided

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
