Apprentice Technician

We have an immediate need for an Apprentice to join our busy shop. This is an excellent opportunity to learn & develop. If you are interested in becoming a Licensed Technician, we want to hear you Gain valuable on the job experience and work for an employer who will help you progress in your career and obtain your 310S license The incumbent must be able to work Saturdays (8am-3pm) and some evenings. The role reports to our Shop Manager.
**Responsibilities**:
- Obtain daily repair orders from the Service Advisor
- Assist Licensed Technicians in repairs
- Perform Quicklane services
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned, with the assistance & supervision from Licensed Technicians & Shop Manager
- Assist in the diagnosis of malfunctions & perform repairs under the direction of Licensed Technicians.
- Save and tag parts requested by customer or under warranty
- Document work performed
- Road test vehicles
- Assist in tire season (ie: removing tires, bagging & marking tires, storing tires and mounting tires)
- Assist in keeping the shop tidy and a safe work environment, general ad hoc housing duties

- Must be able to lift and hold in place, 50lbs (ie: incumbent will be required to lift tires)
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a shop is beneficial, but not necessary
- Valid Ontario Driver's License
- Clean driver's abstract
