Sign Nation, located in Newmarket Ontario is a leading custom manufacturer of signs & architectural products, for businesses across Canada. We have an immediate opening available for a full-time permanent Fabricator to join our team of dedicated professionals. This opportunity is best suited for an experienced, independent, reliable, and highly motivated individual that is comfortable working with a variety of materials and tools.

**Essential**:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English language).
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow through on specific instructions are critical
- Must take accountability for their workmanship, and ensure that the highest quality assurance standards are being implemented throughout each and every job they perform.
- Experience installing signage, and fixtures and working with vinyl.
- Experience with Channel Bender, Laser Cutting and CNC
- Personable - able to speak with clients & co-workers in a courteous and professional manner on behalf of the company.
- Clean driving record with valid G class license
- Ability to lift materials - 50 lbs or more
- Experience with aerial lifts - (Essential to have fall arrest certification)

**Minimum Requirements**:

- At least 2 years of experience installing signs, vinyl, and fixtures.
- Responsible for ensuring that all site check installations are conducted thoroughly, and accurately.
- Must be flexible with work hours as evenings and weekends will be required from time to time.

**Duties and Accountabilities**:

- Oversee the installation, maintenance, repair, or removal of various types of fixtures and signage.
- Interpret and follow the information provided within installation drawings and location plans to ensure the safe and accurate mounting of signage materials.
- Travel (using company vehicles) to various locations to conduct site checks and installations as required.
- Accurately document and report relevant information from designated sign locations back to the main office.
- Operate shop machinery/tools to manufacture, assemble and repair various types of products as required. (Machinery/tools include miter saws, table saws, drills, sanders, grinders, rivet guns, metal brake, shear, slip roller, etc.)
- Electrical wiring knowledge, low voltage experience (lighting components for led, neon, and fluorescent lights)
- Maintain adequate raw material, hardware, and consumable supplies stock levels.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot / problem solve during unanticipated situations.
- General shop/vehicle organization and cleanup / regular maintenance of fabrication tools.
- Comprehend maps to get to locations efficiently
- Knowledge of proper fasteners to use with different substrates. (Construction knowledge)

**Tasks**
- Change machinery attachments
- Clean work area
- Monitor the machine during the operations
- Check manufactured items for defects and conformance to specifications
- Complete reports on product inspection
- Load, feed or place materials into machine
- Operate machine to fabricate parts and products
- Sand, trim, grind or clean products into final form using hand tools
- Screw, clip, glue, bond, weld or otherwise assemble parts and components to form final products
- Cut, shape and fit materials to form parts and components
- Welding experience
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
- Wire electrical connections for switchboards and panel boards
- Program CNC machine tools
- Operate forklift

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
