We're looking for a full-time Assistant Controller to join our team in the Greater Vancouver Area (Richmond, BC).

**Your Deliverables and Responsibilities**:

- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and general accounting functions
- Supervise the month end close process and of the preparation of the monthly financial statements
- Ensure internal controls, processes and accounting standards are adhered to in all regions
- Manage all aspects of the general ledger, data integrity and accuracy of data input
- Primary review of all global payroll including Australia, Canada, Chile, South Africa, United States, and other regions
- Meet with stakeholders, and oversee monthly capitalization posting for R&D projects
- Prepare various FP&A month end reports for senior management
- Assist with the maintenance and optimization of the company’s processes and systems including ERP Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Payroll System Ceridian Dayforce and Expense Reporting Platform Concur
- Review Canadian GST, PST and US Sales and Use Tax Returns and Australian GST returns
- Prepare support for all global tax returns and coordinate with external tax providers
- Serve as a liaison with internal and external auditors under the direction of the Controller
- Research accounting matters for compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards

**Your Experience and Skills**:

- 5+ years of accounting experience in public practice or industry
- 2+ years of experience in a relevant role post-designation
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- Advanced knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Very strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central 365 or an equivalent ERP
- Solid professional judgement
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills, and has the ability to plan and prioritize
- Extremely detail oriented
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to provide information to various levels within the organization
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clear, formal business communications
- Ability to mentor and coach members of the team
