**About the Opportunity**

Harmac Pacific currently has an exciting opportunity for a** Temporary Machinist **to join our team in **Nanaimo, B.C.**

**Requirements**:
To qualify for the position, you will have an **Interprovincial Machinist Trades Qualification** and **sound base knowledge of materials, and a well-rounded Machinist skill set that leans heavily towards manual machine operations. **You are also **skilled in the operation of CNC turning centers, including CAD/CAM software.**

The ability to efficiently set up and operate manual lathes, manual milling machines, bandsaw, and most typical machine shop machinery. (Key-seater experience would be an asset)

Work from drawings and written instructions making new and repair old parts.

Repair and rework non-conforming parts back to specification.

Be able to adapt to rush and emergency jobs that happen daily.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Demonstrate the values of safety, teamwork, and accountability and work well with others.

Attention to detail, especially ensuring specific steps are followed to complete a task and have high standards towards quality control.
