Abatement Technologies is looking for an experienced, talented, focused **Financial Controller**.** Want to join a growing company that provides innovative and reliable solutions to its customers? We are seeking an individual to join our team in **Fort Erie, ON.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Act as a primary contact for the finance department.
- Develop, monitor and interpret key performance and operating metrics and trends; effectively communicate key business insights to executive management team.
- Liaise with management, staff and external service providers as necessary to ensure the completion of all finance department tasks.
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements for Abatement Technologies and related companies.
- Prepare and/or review month-end closing activities including balance sheet reconciliations and department cost allocations.
- Take the lead on all financial audits conducted by third parties.
- Provide detailed monthly analysis and reporting of inventory and work closely with Plant Controller to ensure accuracy of job costing within the production division.
- Meet with and report regularly CFO and CEO, as required, to keep members regularly informed regarding significant Company issues, opportunities and developments.
- Oversee tax filings, and cash management, approve payables and execute cheque signing.
- Continual search for improvement opportunities both financial and operational while helping to drive a performance improvement culture across the company.

**Education and Work Experience**:

- University degree in Accounting or Business Administration is required. Professional accounting designation (CPA) is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of related finance and accounting experience, including management responsibilities
- Knowledge of computers and ERP systems. Knowledge of Epicor ERP considered an asset.
- Highly efficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
