**Job Description / Key Responsibilities**
- Perform and assist with proactive maintenance activities on plant equipment and facility assets.
- Assist in repair or replacement of defective machinery parts.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures and policies.
- Assist with trouble shooting equipment malfunctions due to electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic issues.
- Use hand tools, drill press, grinder, saws, and other shop tools to complete tasks.
- Replacement of saw blades or cutting tools on machinery.
- Assist with subcontractors when necessary.
- Communicate with immediate supervisor and other maintenance team members of issues related to maintenance and safe operations of equipment and facilities.
- Aid in setting up or breaking down of equipment.
- Perform some handy-man activities, such as, plumbing, painting, re-lamping fixtures, changing filters, metal fabrication, landscaping etc.
- Follow and maintain prescribed work logs using our FM program software.

**Position Requirements**
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in the woodworking industry.
- Education in machine electronics, Program Logic Controllers (PLC), Automation Systems.
- Experience with a Multi-Meter and Trouble Shooting Electronics
- Knowledge/Experience with Compressors, Pneumatic Tools, Equipment, Switches an asset.
- Knowledge/Experience with Finishing Equipment such as Spray Pumps and Spray Guns an asset.
- Forklift Licence, or Scissorlift experience/licence an asset.
- Basic Knowledge of HVAC Systems an asset.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, small machine tools, and wood working machinery is an asset.
- A valid G-class driver’s licence.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on task.
- Basic computer skills.
- Written and oral understanding of English language.
- Capable of working independently or effectively with all team members.
- Must be available to work overtime, nights, and weekends. While the Maintenance Department does have normal weekly work hours (Days), there are tasks and potential unpredictable circumstances, such as a major equipment failure, that require the Team to be available 24/7.
- Capable of lift to 75 lbs. on an occasional basis.
