**Job Description**:
**To be considered for this position you**:

- ** MUST HAVE **a minimum of 2 years experience
- ** MUST HAVE **a current food handlers certificate.
- ** MUST **live local or have reliable transportation, due to operation hours

**WHAT’S THE JOB?**
The** General Kitchen Support** is responsible for assisting in the overall kitchen operations and maintenance as well as cleaning and sanitizing of designated kitchen areas, tools, equipment, pots, and dishes, prepping raw materials for culinary team, stocking, cleaning and organizing of storage areas.

**Your work will include**:

- Ensure consistent quality standards in food preparation as per client’s requirements and safety and sanitation in kitchen in accordance with Food Safe protocol.
- Check and control proper storage of all food items in refrigerators, freezers and storage rooms to maintain product freshness
- Ensuring consistent quality standard in over-all food preparation as per clients’ requirements including consideration to special dietary constraints
- Ensuring proper equipment operation, safety and sanitation in the kitchen
- Complying with food hygiene regulations in accordance with Food Safety Act
- Maintain temperature logs and proper balance of chemicals for Industrial Dishwashing machine.

**Qualifications**:
**WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**
- You have at least FoodSafe Level I. SafeCheck advanced food safety certification or HACCP certification is an asset
- You are able to obtain a mark of 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
