**Position Summary**:
We are currently looking for a HR Assistant to join our team.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Recruitment: Assist with full cycle recruitment; posting job vacancies, screening resumes, coordinating and scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Onboarding: Help new hires complete necessary paperwork, arrange orientation sessions, and conduct onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
- Employee record management: Maintain employee records, including personal information, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Benefits administration: Assist with benefits enrollment and answer employee inquiries about health, dental, and retirement benefits.
- Training and development: Assist in coordinating training and development programs, including scheduling sessions, tracking attendance, and following up on completion.
- Compliance: Assist in ensuring the organization complies with provincial and federal employment laws, including maintaining records of compliance, monitoring changes in regulations, and updating policies as necessary.
- Employee relations: Responsible for responding to employee inquiries and resolving employee issues related to employment, benefits, and other HR matters.
- HR projects: Assist in organizing HR-related projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys, diversity and inclusion programs, and performance management systems.

**Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge**:

- Education: An associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Entry-level HR Assistant positions with previous administrative or HR experience.
- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Organizational skills: HR Assistants are responsible for managing multiple tasks simultaneously, so strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
- Attention to detail: Must have an eye for detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Computer skills: Should be proficient in using computer software, such as Microsoft Office Suite, HR information systems, and applicant tracking systems.
- Interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with others, build relationships, and handle sensitive employee information.
