Role and Responsibilities

**The role we are offering you**:
Participate in projects that optimize the operational effectiveness of the CF-18 fighter aircraft.
Provide new functionalities and improve existing capabilities for the mission computers in the CF-18 aircraft in the areas of:
Air-to-ground Armament systems and ballistics
Air-to-Air missiles
Radar
Combined Interrogator and Transponder

**Participate in all phases of software development, including**: Problem Analysis; Requirements Definition; Design; Modeling; Coding; Integration; Test; Qualification.
Opportunity to work with operational specialists (CF-18 pilots) and members of Canadian Forces.
Support Canadian Forces during military exercises.

**Bachelor/Master in engineering**: Mechanical / Electrical / Aeronautical / Software / Computer.
0-5 years of experience.
Ability to self-learn.
Ability to work as part of a team and to interact with different multidisciplinary groups.
Programming experience.

**Assets**:
Interest in aeronautics, avionics, and aircraft systems operation.
Experience in development, integration, testing or debugging of real-time embedded software.
Understanding of mathematical models and algorithms based on flight mechanics.
Assembly, Matlab, C/C++/C# programming, Unix.
Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence.

**Operational Requirements**:
Must be eligible for registration to the Controlled Goods Program
Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada’s “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance
Work will be performed mostly in Mirabel (occasionally in Saint-Laurent). Main work location is not accessible via public transportation. A car is needed.
