**Full Job Description**:
Arclin is seeking a driven individual for the _Maintenance Planner_ position at our Cobourg, ON location, reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager. This position is accountable for managing the preventative maintenance program to ensure reliable plant operations. The maintenance planner collaborates with the mechanical and electrical maintenance resources to schedule, plan, and execute work orders.

This position requires an assertive individual able to understand the plant needs, equipment components, supplier options, and urgencies associated with supporting the plant maintenance functions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Serve as one of the site owners of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Coordinate, plan and schedule maintenance activities in order to maintain PM and PdM program, ensuring safe operating conditions throughout the facility
- Review new work orders to ensure all requests have been properly entered
- Procure necessary parts to execute work orders through issuing purchase orders and invoice receiving
- Lead weekly planning meetings with the maintenance, production, and plant engineering managers to review open work orders, revise priorities, close out unnecessary or completed work orders, and develop the following week’s schedule
- Provide and communicate the daily work schedule to the maintenance team
- Adjust schedules to account for unexpected emergency work
- Act as one of the principal contacts between the maintenance, engineering, and operations departments
- Assist in development, and continuous improvement of PM & PdM programs
- Coordinate planned downtime of major assets for maintenance activities with the site scheduler
- Manage the spare parts inventory
- Performs asset management activities such as building spare parts lists and maintaining critical assets in good working order
- Coordinate preventative maintenance activities with contractors and act as the primary contact
- Meet established budget goals
- Maintain records that are essential to maintenance management

**Job Requirements**:

- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years industrial operations or maintenance experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to operate safely in a manufacturing environment; this may include, but is not limited to potentially lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods of time bending, crouching, stooping, rotating, climbing stairs, or any combination of the aforementioned, etc.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is an asset
