**Position Overview**
The Youth Programs Team Lead for Open New Tab (ONT) is responsible for the overall supervision and administration of the Open New Tab youth programs including project management, planning, organizing, staffing, leading, growing, and risk management of program activities. Programs include but are not limited to; GuySpace, YSpace, PowerCamp, YLeaders, and Youth Advisory Council.

**Essential Duties of Position**:

- Oversees the overall coordination and administration of all ONT youth programming.
- Responsible for the coordination and administration of the youth peer mentorship program, YLeaders.
- Develops work plans for areas of responsibility, achieving goals/objectives and outcomes.
- Ensures development and management of high-quality youth programs for designated projects and programs.
- Undertakes research in program areas and best practices to ensure program quality and innovation.
- Supports the identification, development, writing and submission of funding proposals.
- Manages effective supervision, support, and coaching for staff and volunteers.
- Responsible for management of specific, designated and approved budgets.

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Undergraduate degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of program management and evaluation in an outcomes based framework.
- Strong administrative skills and financial management skills.
- Organizational development and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Effective interpersonal, supervisory and organizational skills.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Ability to maintain collaborative partnerships, internal and external to the organization.
- Knowledge and interest in youth engagement and community development strategies from a feminist theoretical perspective.
- Ability to train, supervise, and motivate staff, volunteers, and participants.

**Special Conditions of Employment**
Must have completed First Aid and CPR training, and a Criminal Back Check, and Child Abuse Registry.
