**Research Specialist (cell culture)**

**Position Description**

Reporting to the Team Lead - Therapeutics, the successful applicant will be the primary personnel to culture cells for the therapeutics group. Proficiency in stem cell and primary cell culture required. Some experience in CRISPR, DNA analysis and qPCR is an asset.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct and maintain cell cultures of stem cell and primary cell types (including CNS cells) to support the development of the pre-clinical pipeline
- Follow established protocols and carry out experiments independently
- Document and report experimental results for internal review
- Other duties, as required

**Qualifications**
- M.Sc. in a relevant biological field and 5+ years experience
- Experience with stem cell and primary cell culture required
- Experience with CRISPR and DNA/RNA analysis an asset
- Experience with GDP and GLP is an asset
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, statistical analysis software (e.g. R, SPSS, Prism)
- Proven attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate as an effective team player while working independently and within timelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication

**Salary**: From $65,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Master's Degree (required)

**Experience**:

- Primary Cell Culture: 5 years (preferred)
- Stem Cell Culture: 5 years (preferred)
