**AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN**

**Car Repair of Winnipeg, MB** is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our team We are looking for a motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow in the automotive industry. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is willing to work hard and have a positive attitude.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must have previous paint experience
- ‘Red Seal’ CERTIFICATION and ICAR points would be an asset.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Responsibilities**:

- Refinish damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory quality specifications
- Operate and use all body shop equipment properly and safely.
- Remove rust from metal, grease and dirt from work surfaces.
- Mix paint to match manufacturer’s colour.
- Maintain tools and keep equipment clean and in safe working order.
- Maintain and wear all safety and protective wear.
- Cooperate and assist other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.

shop is looking for an experienced body shop painter to join our team. The Body shop painter must be individual who possesses excellent time management skills, and can be relied upon to complete numerous daily tasks as it is key role in customer satisfaction.
- Diagnosing and repairing vehicles (including engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, air conditioning, etc.)
- Using diagnostic equipment and computerized testing systems to repair vehicles
- Inspecting vehicles for mechanical and electrical repairs and replacing parts
- Maintaining vehicle records and documentation (e.g. vehicle maintenance records, warranty information, etc.)
- Providing technical advice on vehicle repairs and maintenance to customers
- Cleaning and inspecting vehicles at various stages of repair (e.g. before or after tires have been installed)
- Ensuring that the shop environment is clean and maintained at all times

**Qualifications**:High school diploma or equivalent; some experience in the automotive field preferred. Some knowledge of automotive repair or mechanical knowledge preferred. Must be able to follow directions and work independently. Must have good mechanical skills. Must be able to use tools (e.g., air compressor, hand tools, power tools, etc.). Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted for extended periods.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
