Preschool Volunteer

**Offer your time and energy and gain valuable classroom experience in a special needs pre-school setting.**

**When**:Choose a regular weekly morning or afternoon shift that works for you. Classes run Monday to Thursday 9:30-11:30am and 1:30 -3:30pm

**Duties**:

- As a regular classroom volunteer you will work under the guidance of our RECE teachers and the therapy staff.
- You will become an important part of the classroom team.
- You will assist in the day to day routines of a busy preschool classroom for children with special needs.
- Volunteers provide support to staff by engaging with the students and assisting them as they explore, learn and play.
- Volunteers are also required to assist with setting up and cleaning the classroom environment.

**Important Requirements**:
Successful applicants will be required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check from their local police department, and a Health Assessment Form signed by their family doctor, with a current list of immunizations before commencing volunteer duties.

*to request a Vulnerable Sector Check and to work with children, applicants must be 18 years of age or older*

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 10 months

Expected hours: No less than 2.5 per week
